Former Erie Coke Site – Community Input Opportunity
The Erie Western-PA Port Authority acquired the former Erie Coke site in May 2024 to transform this property into an asset for our community and continue to strengthen Erie’s waterfront. The Port is partnering with the Erie County Redevelopment Authority on the long-term cleanup process and is looking ahead to the future use of the site.
More information about the background of the site, its acquisition by the Port, and the PA Department of Environmental Protection testing process is available here.
The Port is now working to establish a vision and path forward for the development and use of the area, including the former Erie Coke site. The input of our community is an essential part of this process. Please join us to provide your perspective on the opportunities for this area at an upcoming community meeting.
